RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Whitlock, a video collaboration company, announces expanding its services, partners and team members to match continuing growth in its global customer base.
Powering up its delivery team, Whitlock has hired Michael Kalman to serve as its national director of technical operations. Michael's background in IT and Communications has brought a fresh approach to improving workflows, processes and reporting using his foundation in six sigma principles for companies like Sabre and Belo/Gannett. His initial focus will be on expanding Whitlock's staffing model to match the pace and scale needed for the company's growing national and global delivery. Michael will also implement more expansive standards for rack and fabrication across Whitlock's U.S. offices.
On the relationship management side of the business, Whitlock has also announced another strategic hire. Mike Dunn has joined the company as a Global Account Manager. Based in Silicon Valley, Mike has 23 years of experience in AV and IT leadership and a long list of successful global Fortune 1000 accounts to bring to Whitlock. His most recent position was with industry partner Prysm, where he served as the Vice President of Sales.
"Whitlock's growth strategy has always been about building the right relationships with the right people," states John "Jack" Steinhauer, Executive Vice President. "Our recent hires, including Mike and Michael, enable us to meet the demands of our growing customer base and enjoy a high performance team. Our partnerships with new technology developers and the Global Presence Alliance also add to our ability to differentiate from the competition."
With 23 offices across the U.S., Whitlock teams up closely with the Global Presence Alliance (GPA) to support customers with a multi-national presence. Now trending at 27 members, the GPA has expanded with new partners in Russia, Israel and Japan in 2017. The organization meets next week in Brazil, where the members will discuss strategic account management and operational standards, along with further expansion in key markets.
"We are highly focused on building the right foundation to support our global accounts," adds Roger Patrick, Whitlock COO. "This includes operational improvements that provide a consistent user experience across the enterprise, whether that enterprise is local, regional, national or global, and also aggressive hiring of new talent. In addition to these new leaders, we have tripled the size of our global program management team. Our project oversight is key to our success working with the other GPA teams around the world."
Other important global partners for Whitlock include Microsoft, where they were chosen to join the Multinational Partner Network (MPN) with expertise in the Modern Workplace. Whitlock also has global status with other key technology developers and manufacturers, including Crestron, Polycom and Cisco, where they are aligned with each to deliver Collaboration as a Service to enterprise customers.
