An independent panel of judges, named Whitefox as best in class and the prestigious award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Commercialisation; it was presented by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Whitefox's CEO Gillian Harrison says, "Whitefox has kept itself under the radar as it has developed its technology through R&D, industrial scale application and commercialisation; this year we decided to tell the world about Whitefox. We were therefore very pleased to be selected to participate at CleanEquity and delighted to have been recognised by such a specialist and experienced audience for what Whitefox has achieved."
Mungo Park, Chairman of Innovator Capital the investment bank that hosts CleanEquity said, "One of our objectives is, at the appropriate time, to show hidden gems to the world. Whitefox is truly a gem."
Whitefox is a leader in the development and installation of polymeric membranes for the most energy efficient production of bioethanol; it has demonstrated through industrial scale applications that its technology represents a breakthrough when compared to conventional molecular sieve technology. Even first generation ethanol producers now have a way to significantly improve the cost-efficiency of ethanol. Cellulosic ethanol generation, including waste to ethanol, will also stand to benefit.
The modular design, applicable from micro to large-scale production delivers major savings in energy, electricity and water, together with significantly increased output of co-generated electricity from biomass such as sugar cane bagasse.
Whitefox has over 10 years experience in developing membrane-based systems for different applications. It has received grant funding from the EU, the Canadian government, UK Carbon trust and the US Dept. of Energy for the development of applications in ethanol, fuel cells and carbon capture and has a broad patent portfolio. It continues to develop its technology for clean energy and water, striving to offer greater profitability to customers, attractive returns to investors, whilst remaining focussed on the environment.
