White Cloud Electronic Cigarettes and LEADING EDGE SERIES with host Jimmy Johnson, to produce e-cig educational program
TARPON SPRINGS, Fla., June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- White Cloud Electronic Cigarettes and the LEADING EDGE SERIES are pleased to announce their recently signed agreement to develop and deliver a 12 month educational, interstitial TV segment which will be distributed to Public Television stations nationwide. The purpose of the project is to provide the public with education and information relating to the manufacturing and development of electronic cigarettes.
A representative for Leading Edge commented, "Our interstitial segments are industry-specific educational stories, that are self-contained and run on Public Television stations nation-wide. Leading Edge looks to expand consumer and professional knowledge with these stories through groundbreaking content provided within every segment and program produced."
They additionally noted, "The host of our award-winning series for Public Television is celebrity coach and broadcaster Jimmy Johnson. We are equally excited to partner with White Cloud to deliver a cutting edge educational program to viewers everywhere."
Rob Burton, White Cloud's Director, Corporate & Regulatory Affairs added, "Leading Edge's short form segments educate viewing audiences while having a greater impact in the quiet, low-clutter environment found only on Public Television. This non-commercial approach to on-air education demonstrates insightful and rewarding programs that speak to the intellect, entertain and foster a community connection which fits seamlessly with White Cloud's strategy of developing credible and supportive partnerships, such as our long-term research agreement with the University of South Florida."
In addition to the segment for Public Television, Leading Edge and White Cloud will also be producing a one-minute educational commercial segment for network distribution, expected to broadcast to over 84 million homes.
Rob also stated, "We believe that electronic cigarettes have the potential to deliver a major public health impact and, whilst many may argue that any promotion of e-cigs is good for public health, we think that smokers need to know the facts through education rather than being solely influenced through non-informative TV advertising."
"Leading Edge" is not affiliated with nor distributed through PBS. It is provided to Public Television stations independently and runs as interstitial programming.
