Whistler Blackcomb Celebrates Milestone of Millionth Bike Park Visitor
First Lift-Accessed Mountain Bike Park in the World to Reach This Feat
WHISTLER, BC, Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Whistler Blackcomb Holdings Inc. announced today that the Whistler Mountain Bike Park hosted its millionth unique rider on Friday, August 12th. The first lift-accessed mountain Bike Park in the world to reach this feat, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park is in its twelfth season of operation and is considered the # 1 lift accessed mountain bike park in the world. To mark this auspicious occasion, a celebration was held at the base of the Fitzsimons Express chairlift, with a countdown to the lucky millionth visitor hosted by biking legend Brett Tippie.
The lucky millionth guest, Ryan Domm from Edmonton, Alberta, was greeted by confetti guns, and walked away with a complimentary seasons pass for the remainder of the 2011 season, a season pass for the 2012 season and a prize pack from Bike Park sponsors.
