Whistleblower Law Collaborative Welcomes Attorney David W.S. Lieberman
BOSTON, April 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorneys Suzanne E. Durrell and Robert M. Thomas, Jr. are pleased to announce that David W. S. Lieberman and his practice, Powderhouse Law, LLC, has joined Durrell Law Office and Thomas & Associates in representing whistleblowers under the umbrella of the Whistleblower Law Collaborative.
Mr. Lieberman is an experienced litigator of complex fraud cases, practicing at two large Boston law firms, Day Pitney, LLP and Ropes & Gray, where he represented clients in all aspects of litigation. His clients have included the whistleblower and numerous government entities asserting claims under federal and state false claims acts against the world's largest producer of municipal and consumer water pipe. Previously, Mr. Lieberman served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Bureau of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, where he brought one of the first successful environmental-crime prosecutions under the Massachusetts False Claims Act.

Mr. Lieberman is a 2008 graduate of Columbia University School of Law and former Managing Editor of the Columbia Law Review. He later served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Bruce M. Selya of the First Circuit Court of Appeals and is currently a Lecturer at Boston University School of Law, where he teaches legal writing to first-year law students. He is an active member of the Boston Bar Association and previously served in the BBA Public Interest Leadership program from 2014 to 2015. An active participant in many pro bono and charitable activities, including City Year, Mr. Lieberman is a 2015 recipient of the Up & Coming Excellence in the Law Award from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly for his commitment to public service and was recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in 2015-2016.
