BENTON HARBOR, Mich., April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE:WHR) declared today a 20 percent increase in the quarterly dividend on the company's common stock to 75 cents per share from 62.5 cents per share. The dividend is payable June 15, 2014, to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 16, 2014.
The company's board of directors also approved a new $500 million share repurchase authorization. The company completed its previously authorized repurchase program in December 2013.
