Analyst Update: Operational Update, New Installation, Quarterly Results, and Commencement of Construction

The US benchmark equity indices closed lower on Tuesday as weaker-than-expected growth in February US vehicle sales and a criticized speech by the Israeli Prime minister, dampened traders mood. The S&P 500 fell 9.61 points, or 0.45%, to end at 2,107.78, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 85.26 points or 0.47% to 18,203.37. The tech-heavy NASDAQ was down 28.2 points or 0.56% to close at 4,979.90. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the White House's attempts to reach a nuclear deal with Iran, saying it was a "bad deal." Meanwhile, most of Europe's benchmark stock indices closed lower on Tuesday, as investors took to profit booking. The fall comes in the face of better than expected German retail sales report, which showed unexpected accelerated growth in January. Germany's DAX 30 fell 130.0 points or 1.14% to 11,280.36, and Eurostoxx 50 was lower 41.98 points or 1.17% to 3,549.11. France's CAC 40 declined 48.07 points or 0.98% to 4,869.25.
El Paso Electric Company (El Paso Electric) announced the completion and commercial operation of the largest solar facility in El Paso, which is a 10 megawatt (MW) solar facility located on a 100-acre site in northeast El Paso adjacent to the existing EPE Newman Power Station. The Company has also signed a 30-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Newman Solar, LLC, owned by PSEG Solar Source.
Empire District Electric Co (Empire District) reported that it has installed a new nesting platform for ospreys at Stockton Lake on February 24, 2015. The Company informed that this 75-foot high nesting platform was installed specifically for the pair who nested on the arms of the nearby transmission line last year, and the nest caught fire by making a connection with the energized line burning not only their nest, but the transmission line and part of the pole.
Empresa Distribuidora y Comercializadora Norte S.A. (Edenor) reported its Q3 2014 results with revenue rising 9.1% YoY to (Argentine Peso) ARS995.0 million. Net loss attributable to Edenor shareholders came in at ARS720.9 million during Q3 2014, compared with a net loss of ARS512.9 million in Q3 2013.
Empresa Nacional de Electricidad SA (Endesa Chile) reported that it has commenced work on Neltume prospection gallery, a 900-meter long tunnel being built to study the technical quality of the rock in the Lago Neltume area, where the Neltume Hydroelectric Plant project's machine room will be located.
Enersis SA (Enersis) reported its fourth quarter and full-year earnings results with EBITDA above $4 billion for a sixth consecutive year. Net income attributable to Enersis shareholders came in at (Chilean Peso) CLP610.2 billion in 2014 versus CLP658.5 billion in 2013, a 7.3% YoY decrease attributable to the impact on Endesa Chile of the provisions made on HidroAysén and Punta Alcalde investments.
