Analyst Update: Dividend Declaration, Financial Results, and Prepayment of Term Loan

The US stock markets on Monday ended the day on a fairly flat note, as gains were curbed when an early rally in energy stocks was lost due to tumbling oil prices. U.S. crude settled down $1.12 at $53.61 a barrel. While the NASDAQ remained flat at 4,806.91, the S&P 500 posted its 53rd record close of the year on Monday at 2,090.57, up 0.09%. Dow Jones Industrial Average however edged 0.09% lower at 18,038.23. The European stock markets on Monday closed on a mixed note. Greek stocks and bonds slumped after politicians in the country failed for a third time to endorse Prime Minister Antonis Samaras' preferred candidate. Following the rally in the US markets on optimism about the U.S. economic outlook, the Asian stock market rose broadly on Monday. Chinese and Hong Kong shares extended recent gains in reaction to Friday's announcement by the People's Bank of China on easing liquidity requirements at banks starting next year.
The Mosaic Company's (Mosaic) Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share on the Company's common stock. The dividend, which was declared on December 18, 2014, will be paid on March 19, 2015, to stockholders of record as of the close of business on March 5, 2015.
Neenah Paper, Inc. (Neenah Paper) reported higher third quarter 2014 net sales, attributed to Crane Technical Materials acquisition, increased Technical Products volumes, as well as a higher value mix and increased selling prices in both segments. Bottom line for the quarter improved 19.3% YoY.
NewMarket Corporation (NewMarket) reported higher third quarter 2014 revenues led by improvement in petroleum additives segment. However, the bottom line for the quarter declined 27.9% YoY.
Newmont Mining Corp. (Newmont Mining) - a producer of gold and copper prepays $100 million towards a five-year, $575 million unsecured amortizing term loan received in March 2014. The term loan, which has to be repaid in 2019, was used to repay $575 million of convertible debt that matured in July of this year.
NL Industries Inc. (NL Industries) reported higher third quarter 2014 net sales, led by strong demand within CompX's Security Products business, including a new initiative for an existing government customer, increased market penetration in electronic locks and strong demand in transportation markets. The Company also reported profits in the quarter, compared to losses reported in the same quarter previous year.
