NEW HAVEN, Conn., May 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- When you see news happen, WTNH News 8 wants you to Report It to the News 8 newsroom. News 8's new Report It feature asks viewers from across the state to send pictures, videos and emails directly to News 8. The easiest way for viewers to Report It when they see it, is to download WTNH's new iPhone application, available for free at www.wtnh.com. The Report It feature is one of the new components of the WTNH app, which allows users to submit videos, photos and news directly to the News 8 newsroom with a single touch.
"We are very excited that this new iPhone App will make local news a more interactive experience. Viewers will be able to send information and video to the newsroom with just the touch of a button," said Kirk Varner, Vice President of News at WTNH News 8 and WCTX MyTV9.
The new WTNH app will encourage viewers to 'join' the WTNH News 8 news department, by letting them Report It when they see it.
