AMSTERDAM, July 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
The 11th edition of Fi India will take place next month, from the 22-24 August in the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. To date Fi India has only taken place in Mumbai, which mainly targets the Western region of India. However Northern India is seeing huge growth, and the food processing industry is a high priority sector for the majority of Northern Indian states. It is for this reason that Fi India will take this year in New Delhi and from now on will rotate annually between New Delhi and Mumbai.

Along with the new location, Fi India 2016 will also include a number of other new features. The Inaugural Pre-Connect Congress will take place on Saturday, 20 August in the Lalit, New Delhi. This is a full day event with a great line-up of speakers covering the entire Indian food processing industry. It is a great opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers and to connect and network with senior executives in the industry. This year, Fi India will once again feature the free two-day Bakery Workshop, conducted by the Assocom Institute of Bakery Technology & Management (AIBTM). This year's workshop will feature a new theme "All about Doughnuts". Highlights of the two days include: functions of ingredients, different mixing methods, the processing of doughnuts, flavouring and decorations and the handling and packaging of doughnuts.
In the last number of years, Fi India has worked closely with the All Indian Food Processing Association (AIFPA). This year, for the first time, AIFPA will have a pavilion at the show, as well as organising their National Seminar onsite on day two of the show.
To allow you to have all the event information at your fingertips, this year Fi India has introduced the Fi India event app. The app is available to download now for android and i-phone and allows you to browse exhibitors, interact via private messaging with other attendees and customise and plan your agenda for the day.
On top of all these great new features, Fi India has a great line-up of more than 150 national and international suppliers exhibiting at the show, including Roquette, Doehler, Naturex and Brenntag Specialities.
