 New route launches today between Toronto and Gander

CALGARY, May 3, 2015 /CNW/ - WestJet today launched new, daily non-stop service between Toronto and Gander, Newfoundland, on board WestJet's Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

"We are aggressively growing our domestic network through 2015 with more WestJet and WestJet Encore service in eastern Canada, including the Toronto-Gander flight launching today" said Bob Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Sales, Marketing and Guest Experience. "We are pleased to provide guests with lower fares, more flight options and greater connectivity across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland into the wider WestJet network."

Gander is now the third WestJet destination in Newfoundland, providing further opportunities for business and leisure market travel between Alberta, Ontario and Newfoundland. WestJet Encore will soon follow with flights between Halifax and Gander, Deer Lake, St. John's and Sydney beginning July 15, 2015.
