WGU Texas Scholarship Celebrates Educators in Education Service Center, Region 20

AUSTIN, Texas, March 1, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 1-5, 2017, and WGU Texas is celebrating the educators in the Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) with a Teacher Appreciation Scholarship. Through April 30, 2017, ESC-20 employees, partner school districts and charter schools are eligible to apply for one of five scholarships worth up to $2,000 each, applied toward tuition in any of WGU Texas' 31 Teachers College degree programs.

WGU Texas and ESC-20 established a strategic partnership in 2016 with the goal of providing pathways to high-quality educational opportunities that support educators and address the statewide teacher shortage. In addition to the scholarship, WGU Texas offers a five percent tuition discount to all ESC-20 employees.
