Dexmedetomidine HCl Injection is currently sold as a 2 mL vial by multiple manufacturers. Dexmedetomidine is also available in ready to use glass bottles marketed by Hospira under the brand name PRECEDEX® (Dexmedetomidine HCl Injection).

A 200 mcg/2 mL vial is currently the only generic Dexmedetomidine HCl Injection alternative. WGCC will be supplying a unique 400 mcg/4 mL vial presentation. The 4 mL vial easily transfers into one 100 mL bag making it more convenient for the end user. "Using only one vial to admix a bag saves time and there is less chance for a medication error.
