WFTDA.TV Announces 2013 Women's Roller Derby Broadcast Schedule
AUSTIN, Texas, June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On the heels of the first anniversary of WFTDA.tv—a dynamic online roller derby broadcast channel—the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is excited to present its hard-hitting 2013 viewing season! The WFTDA introduced WFTDA.tv in 2012 with the goal of raising the bar for video production standards across the sport and to share the excitement of women's flat track roller derby with fans worldwide.
A member-run organization, the WFTDA now broadcasts to more than 100,000 fans per broadcast season—with numbers growing by the day. WFTDA.tv promotes productions that portray women's flat track roller derby as a real, athletic, and competitive sport and offers live coverage and archives of monthly games from late spring through the WFTDA Championships in November.
WFTDA.tv's 2013 season includes free, member-supported, and pay-per-view streaming options to fans of WFTDA roller derby, and kicks off this weekend with the 7th annual East Coast Derby Extravaganza, live from Feasterville, Pennsylvania. The live action coverage will continue through the fall with WFTDA Division 1 and 2 Playoffs and Championships.

About Women's Flat Track Derby Association
Founded in 2005, the Women's Flat Track Derby Association is the international governing body for the sport of women's roller derby and a membership organization for leagues to collaborate and network. The WFTDA sets standards for rules, seasons and safety, and determines guidelines for the national and international athletic competitions of member leagues. There are currently 197 WFTDA member leagues and 98 leagues in the WFTDA Apprentice program globally.
