Wet® Personal Lubricants Partners with Dr. Lauren Streicher to Generate Conversations Surrounding the Importance of Lubricants
The Celebrated Gynecologist Will Lend Her Expertise to National Discussions of Sexual Health
VALENCIA, Calif., Dec. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Trigg Laboratories, makers of Wet® Personal Lubricants, today announced a partnership with Dr. Lauren Streicher, who will bring a medical perspective to national discussions of personal lubricants and sexual health. Dr. Streicher, an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, specializes in addressing the issues women face before, during and after menopause and has been a long-time proponent of silicone-based personal lubricants.
"Dr. Streicher is a thought leader in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, a natural partner choice for our efforts to generate conversation about personal lubricants," said Jennifer Martsolf, vice president of marketing at Trigg Laboratories. "We are excited to work with her in the upcoming year as we raise awareness for the important role that lubricants play in everyday sexual health, particularly among post- or peri-menopausal women."
In addition to her role at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Streicher is a practicing gynecologist in Chicago, and has made numerous media appearances, including "The Today Show," "Good Morning America" and "The Dr. Oz Show." Dr. Streicher is the author of "The Essential Guide to Hysterectomy," the second edition of which will be released in February, 2013. Her next book, a guide to midlife sexual health, is due out later this year. She is a certified menopause practitioner of the North American Menopause Society and a member of Sexual Medicine Society of North America, Inc. and The International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health.
"I am really looking forward to working with Wet Personal Lubricants to prompt a national dialogue about personal lubricants, which, unfortunately, are often misunderstood or considered taboo," said Dr. Streicher. "For many couples, a silicone lubricant doesn't just make sex more pleasurable, it makes it possible."
