Westinghouse Appoints Key Executives

PITTSBURGH, March 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Westinghouse Electric Company today announced the appointments of Joe Zwetolitz to the position of president, Americas Region, and Jose Emeterio Gutierrez to the position of senior vice president of Nuclear Fuel.
Mr. Zwetolitz, formerly vice president of the Americas Region, succeeds Jim Ferland, who assumes his new role as Westinghouse President and CEO effective April 1. As president of the Americas Region, Mr. Zwetolitz will be responsible for customer relationships, business plan development, and project and product delivery in the Americas Region. He will also focus on market capture in the region for various Westinghouse product lines, including Nuclear Fuel, Nuclear Automation and Nuclear Services.
In his most recent role with Westinghouse, Mr. Zwetolitz was responsible for strategy in the Americas region and for developing Westinghouse business in Canada, including establishment of a Toronto-based Westinghouse legal entity to capture the growing business opportunities in Canada.
Mr. Zwetolitz joined Westinghouse from AREVA NP Inc. in 2011 where he was senior vice president, North American Reactors and Services Group. He has more than 22 years of experience in the nuclear industry, including leadership positions in nuclear services, fuel, projects, steam generator services and engineering.
Mr. Zwetolitz will continue to be located at Westinghouse headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pa., USA, and will report to new Westinghouse President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Ferland.
Mr. Gutierrez is named senior vice president, Nuclear Fuel, responsible for leading the global Nuclear Fuel organization, which provides nuclear fuel fabrication, components and services to customers in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Most recently, Mr. Gutierrez has been the vice president and managing director, Southern Europe, for the Westinghouse Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region; prior to that, he was Nuclear Services' director, Technical Services, Spain.
Mr. Gutierrez joined the Westinghouse leadership team in early 2008 from ENUSA, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including serving as director of their nuclear fuel business and leading ENUSA's Juzbado Manufacturing Plant. Overall, he brings more than 25 years experience in the global nuclear market, including experience in nuclear fuel engineering and fabrication, as well as participation in various GE nuclear fuel development projects in the United States.
Mr. Gutierrez will also be located at Westinghouse headquarters and will report to Westinghouse Chief Operating Officer Ricardo (Ric) Perez.
