Westford Conservation Trust Chosen as First Beneficiary of Coghlin Companies' 5C Charitable Donation Program

WORCESTER, Mass., Jan. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Westford Conservation Trust has been selected as the first beneficiary of the new Coghlin Companies Caring Corporate Citizen ("5C") program. The program was formally launched in 2016 to further demonstrate Coghlin Companies' commitment toward encouraging volunteerism and providing financial support to community service and philanthropic organizations that are important to its loyal team of Caring Associates.

The 5C program encourages Coghlin Companies Caring Associates to nominate 501(C)(3) charitable organizations that they are actively involved with and passionate about. Participants fill out a nomination form detailing their involvement with the charity, the mission it serves and how they would benefit from a meaningful donation. Each quarter, one lucky winner is chosen via a blind draw and receives the opportunity to present a $1,000 check to their chosen charity organization in an intimate setting at Coghlin Companies headquarters in Westborough, MA.

The first recipient of the generous 5C program prize was the Westford Conservation Trust, nominated by Columbia Tech Engineering associate, Rich Strazdas. The Westford Conservation Trust works to preserve open land, water resources, wildlife, and their habitats; establish and maintain hiking trails; preserve and protect historic sites; and educate the public about safe ways to interact with and preserve nature.
