Western Governors University to Offer 100 New Scholarships for Math and Science Teachers
Up to $4,000 per Student Available from NCATE-Approved Online Teachers College
SALT LAKE CITY, April 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Online, competency-based Western Governors University (www.wgu.edu) has announced a new scholarship program aimed at helping current and aspiring mathematics and science educators advance their careers. The WGU Mathematics and Science Educators Scholarships, valued at up to $4,000 each, are available for new students enrolling in initial teaching certification programs as well as those who wish to earn advanced degrees in math and science education.

The WGU Mathematics and Science Educators Scholarship is a competitive program. Scholarships will be awarded based upon a candidate's academic record, readiness for online study at WGU, and current competency. Scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive up to $800 per six-month term, renewable for up to five terms, for a total of $4,000.
WGU offers bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as post-baccalaureate degrees, in Mathematics and Science Education.
