West Tennessee auctioneer Tim Mast elected director of National Auctioneers Association

SELMER, Tenn., July 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Selmer's Hall of Fame auctioneer Tim Mast was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Auctioneers Association when the nation's largest group of auctioneers gathered recently in Louisville for the organization's annual Conference & Show.

Mast received the largest total number of votes of any of the four candidates, outpacing his closest opponent by more than 10 percent. Mast is executive vice president of Tranzon Asset Advisors, based in Selmer, and specializes in the sale of real estate at auction throughout the southeastern United States and beyond.

"The decision to seek the position called for a lot of thought and prayer. You have to really want to serve your fellow auctioneers and help make the industry stronger, and it's a major time commitment. We had four excellent candidates seeking two positions on the board, so it's a great honor to have been selected," said Mast. Placing second, and receiving a second seat on the board, was David Whitley, of Colorado.

Mast will be serving alongside Thomas W. Saturley, who was installed as president of the NAA last week.
