West Palm Beach Elks to Start Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Support Program
CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the West Palm Beach Elks will supply 10-15 Habitat volunteers with breakfast and lunch 1-3 times a week. Volunteers stay longer and volunteer more often when meals are provided.
Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Support Program will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the West Palm Beach Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, West Palm Beach Elks Lodge No. 1352 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
