West Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center Receives Silver National Quality Award
PORTLAND, Ore., July 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- West Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center, managed by The Goodman Group, has been selected as a 2015 recipient of the Silver – Achievement in Quality award for its outstanding performance in the healthcare profession. The award is one of three distinct awards possible through the National Quality Award program, presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The competitive award program highlights select centers across the nation that serve as models of excellence in providing high-quality long term and post-acute care. West Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center was one of 125 centers nationwide and one of only 3 centers in the state of Oregon to receive the 2015 Silver level award.
"We are all so proud of this recognition," said Nicole Easley, executive director of West Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center. "The key to our success is our committed team. Their hard work and dedication to improving the lives of the residents we care for every day is why we are in this position. We've dedicated ourselves to this quality journey and are looking ahead to the next level."
Implemented by AHCA/NCAL in 1996, the National Quality Award Program is centered on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. The program assists providers of long term and post-acute care services in achieving their performance excellence goals. The program has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Centers begin the quality improvement process at the Bronze level and must receive an award at each level before proceeding to the next. As a recipient of the Silver – Achievement in Quality award, West Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center has demonstrated systematic advancements in quality, plans for continual improvement, and sustainable organizational goals.
"By successfully applying the rigorous standards of this program, West Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center has achieved a significant milestone on its quality journey," said Christine Boldt, chair of the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board of Overseers. "I commend West Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center for this achievement."
The awards will be presented during the AHCA/NCAL 66th Annual Convention and Exposition, October 4-7, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas.
