The annual event funds camp for people with disabilities
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., April 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- West Coast Bank is the presenting sponsor of the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp Annual Dinner & Auction--Passport Around the World-- for the fourth consecutive year. The event will be held at the Airport Embassy Suites, April 24th at 5pm.
West Coast Bank Tigard Branch Manager Pam Brown is also the vice president of finance for the camp. She said, "Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp serves more than 500 children and adults with developmental, physical and/or neurological disabilities each year. The Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp was founded in 1933 by the Kiwanis Club of Montavilla to serve low-income youth. They began serving people with disabilities in 1957. Since 1972, the camp has enjoyed a unique partnership with Portland State University's Special Education Department which provides planning and personnel support.
