West Cary Group CEO Moses Foster Delivers VCU Commencement Address

RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Moses Foster, President and CEO of West Cary Group, delivered the commencement address at Virginia Commonwealth University's (VCU) School of Mass Communications graduation ceremony. The function was held December 8 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

"I was honored to speak at VCU's commencement," said Foster. "As the son of teachers, I was raised to appreciate the importance of an education and to understand how invaluable a tool it can be in achieving personal goals."

During his address, Foster spoke about the rapidly transforming world of communications. He stressed that measurement is both the key to navigating the current marketing landscape and to making the strategic decisions that will produce long-term success. He also spoke about how the graduating students will become the communicators of tomorrow, serving as curators of the conversations that will take place in digital channels like social, mobile and web.

Foster earned his bachelor's degree in Communications at Virginia Tech. Post graduation, he began his marketing career as an advertising copywriter at Huntsinger & Jeffer, penning campaigns for clients like Hilton Hotels and SunTrust Bank. He then joined Capital One, where he advanced to Senior Director of Creative Development before starting West Cary Group—an award-winning marketing communications and advertising agency.

Foster has led West Cary Group through years of progressive growth and expansion. The digitally minded integrated communications firm has amassed a client roster that has included nine Fortune 500 clients.
