Werner is Official Ladder of the NCAA® Men's and Women's Basketball Championships
GREENVILLE, Pa., April 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Werner announced today that it will again partner with the NCAA® and Lowe's to provide the custom 9' stepladder for the student-athletes and coaches to use during the championship net-cutting ceremonies. The NCAA Division I Men's Championship Game will occur in Indianapolis on April 6, 2015 and on April 7, 2015 in Tampa Bay for the NCAA Division I Women's Championship.
In addition, to support all students who set their sights on winning in both the classroom and in competition, Werner will make a donation to the general scholarship fund of each of the four teams that make it to Indianapolis and Tampa Bay. "Cutting down the nets has been an integral part of the tournament celebration for over 60-years. We are honored to help continue the tradition that North Carolina State's coach, Everett Case, started back in 1947," said Chris Filardi, Vice President of Marketing at WernerCo.
Furthermore, Werner has sponsored additional features including the Coaching Spotlight, Dunk of the Game and Block of the Game on CBS Sports Network to bring additional excitement and attention to the hard-working players and coaches throughout the tournament.
To help fans capture a piece of the experience, Werner has launched the Rise Above The Rest Sweepstakes for a chance to win a replica championship ladder. Go to http://riseabove.wernerco.com to register for a commemorative piece of the tournament. No purchase is necessary to enter the drawing.
