Wendy's brings Canada's love of poutine to a new level, piling on BBQ pulled pork

Adds Three BBQ Pulled Pork Offerings – including Poutine – and Three Custom-Crafted Sauces

OAKVILLE, ON, Oct. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - Canada's original comfort food, poutine, is getting a sweet-and-tangy makeover as Wendy's Canada introduces BBQ Pulled Pork Poutine to its menu, along with two other pulled pork offerings and a trio of custom-crafted barbecue sauces.

The BBQ Pulled Pork Poutine uses Wendy's Natural-Cut Fries as a foundation for warm poutine sauce, cheese curds, hickory-smoked pulled pork, diced red onions and a choice of Wendy's three custom-crafted sauces drizzled on top, making the perfect savoury snack any time of day, all for a suggested price: $4.99*.

To complement the BBQ Pulled Pork Poutine, Wendy's has two other original BBQ Pulled Pork offerings, available until November 9.

• The BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich features hickory-smoked pulled pork and crunchy broccoli slaw made fresh in Wendy's kitchens every morning, topped with your choice of Sweet, Smoky or Spicy BBQ sauces, all served on a toasted, premium brioche bun. Suggested price: $5.29*.
• The BBQ Pulled Pork Cheeseburger starts with a fresh, never-frozen juicy beef** hamburger patty, topped with tender hickory-smoked pulled pork, a slice of natural cheddar cheese, crunchy broccoli slaw and one of three barbecue sauces, all stacked on a warm, toasted brioche bun.
