Wendy Jane Unison- Pace, RN, MS, BCETS is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Professional of the Year

RUTHER GLEN, Va., Oct. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wendy Jane Unison- Pace, RN, MS, BCETS is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Professional of the Year in the field of Nursing and Education as a result of her role as a Professor of Nursing at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.

In her current role, Wendy teaches Nursing Courses and specializes in Teaching; Public Speaking; Editing; E-Learning; Higher Education; Leadership; Oncology; Emergency Nursing; Nursing Management; Nursing Education; as well as Quality Management.

As a result of her dedication to the field of Nursing, Wendy is a member of numerous professional organizations including The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress; American Nursing Informatics Association; Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing- Gamma Omega Chapter; National League for Nursing; Resource Committee of Northern Virginia Community College; as well as the US Public Health Department, National Health Professions Preparedness Consortium.

Furthermore, Wendy has been vastly recognized for her contributions to both the field of Nursing and Education. She was named by Who's Who in the Nation as a Fellow Lifetime Member, and was included in the Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, 6th Edition, 2005-2006. Additionally, she was a Nursing Excellence National Nominee by Nursing Spectrum in 2005 and won a Nursing Excellence Award for Teaching from Nursing Spectrum, Atlantic Region in 2005. Wendy has been featured in Who's Who in the World, as well as the International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women as a result of her significant career advancement and contributions to society.

Wendy earned her Masters in Nursing Administration and Clinical Nurse Management from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, she is a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress, and Certified as a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation-Professional Rescuer.

In the future, Wendy hopes to continue teaching and working as a bedside nurse while pursuing her Ph.D. within the next five years.
