Wendi Shapiro Joins MWWPR as Senior Vice President, Western Region Consumer Practice Head
LOS ANGELES, June 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MWWPR (www.mww.com), one of the top global independent public relations firms, today announced that Wendi Shapiro has joined MWWPR as Senior Vice President, Western Region Consumer Practice Head in the firm's Los Angeles office.
In her new role, Shapiro serves as steward of the region's robust consumer marketing practice, and leads communications strategies across its clients spanning the restaurant, travel, and wine & spirits sectors. She'll also spearhead the new business development process for prospective consumer clients.
Prior to joining MWWPR, Shapiro was a Senior Vice President at Murphy O'Brien Public Relations, responsible for overseeing the Lifestyle Collection of accounts, providing strategic leadership for clients including The Cheesecake Factory, Bolthouse Farms, See's Candies, Morton's The Steakhouse, Lynx Grills, Mendocino Farms, Tender Greens, Canidae Pet Food and The Better Chip, to name a few.
Shapiro also worked extensively with hospitality and travel clients, including the launch of Hyatt Hotels' first Andaz resort The Andaz Maui at Wailea, the celebrated Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, and the introduction of the luxury beachfront cottages called Beach Village located at the historic Hotel del Coronado, among many others.
