Wellington Financial Announces Appointment of Rob Helm and Sean Lynden as Partners and Opening of New North American Office
SAN JOSE, CA, and TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Wellington Financial L.P., a privately held specialty finance firm providing growth capital to Canadian and U.S.-based companies, announced the addition of Rob Helm and Sean Lynden to its growing team of professionals.
Wellington Financial Fund IV, which announced its $200 million Fund IV in 2012, is a successor fund to three previous entities. Wellington's re-circulating capital base positions the firm to provide entrepreneurs across North America with up to $600 million of True Growth Capital™ over Fund IV's life. Fund III, which was capitalized with $150 million in un-levered equity commitments, led $315 million of financings via 50 loans over a 6-year period. Mr. Helm joins Wellington with 14 years of experience financing high-growth technology businesses. Prior to joining Wellington, Rob was a Partner with Gold Hill Capital, with responsibilities for transaction sourcing and adjudication. Before he joined Gold Hill in 2003, Rob spent three years with Silicon Valley Bank. Rob graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 2000.
Mr. Lynden joins Wellington with over 20 years of experience providing debt financing to growth companies, primarily in the California region. As a founding partner of Gold Hill Capital, Sean was involved in every facet of the business, including capital raising, transaction sourcing, credit reviews and portfolio management over a 14 year period. Previous to Gold Hill Capital, Sean spent 12 years with Silicon Valley Bank, with senior executive responsibilities. Sean graduated from Stanford University in 1988.
