LINCOLN, Neb. and TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG), will offer Nebraska's Heritage Health Medicaid members various unique benefits and services to help them stay healthy.
During the 2018 Open Enrollment Period (OEP), which runs from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15, 2017, Medicaid-eligible adults and children will be able to select WellCare as their health plan, providing access to preventive care and wellness resources. In addition to 100 percent coverage of immunizations, pregnancy services, hospital services, home healthcare services, and emergency/urgent care, the plan also provides special added benefits to improve quality of life.

- Lifeline mobile phones
- Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts annual memberships for members ages 6 to 18

- GED testing
- Healthy Rewards Program which provides gift card rewards for members participating in wellness visits and preventive care
WellCare also covers the transportation cost for family or friends to take members to appointments, over-the-counter drugs and supplies not covered under the Heritage Health program (up to $120 worth of OTC items per household every year), and a discount card for items such as groceries and household supplies.
