WeiserMazars LLP Capitalizes on Combined Marketing and Business Development Platform

NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- WeiserMazars LLP, a leading accounting and financial advisory services firm, today announced that Lora DeSanto has joined as chief marketing officer in its New York City office. An industry veteran with more than two decades of experience in marketing for professional services firms, Ms. DeSanto will oversee the firm's brand, marketing and communications efforts.
"Ms. DeSanto's experience in the strategy and execution of marketing programs, paired with her intimate knowledge of the accounting, tax and advisory industries will be instrumental in helping WeiserMazars further promote the firm's wide-ranging capabilities," said Douglas A. The firm also announced the hiring of David Zarin as director of business development. Mr. Zarin brings to WeiserMazars twenty years of experience developing strategic and tactical client acquisition programs. He comes to the firm from McGladrey, where he served as business development director specializing in the financial institutions, manufacturing, life sciences and media industries. Prior to that, Mr. Zarin served in strategic business development and client service roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Zarin graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics with a concentration in Marketing, and holds a MBA in Marketing and Communications from Fordham University.
Ms. DeSanto, a graduate of Temple University, comes to WeiserMazars from Grant Thornton LLP, where she served as national marketing director for the firm's audit practice and strategic relationships. Prior to that, she was a national marketing director for tax and legal services at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She also served as PwC's regional marketing director for the southeast and was the firm's Pennsylvania marketing manager.
