Wegmans Chestnut Hill Location Now Hiring For Full-Time Positions

NEWTON, Mass., June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wegmans Food Markets begins recruitment for full-time positions today for its new Massachusetts location, Chestnut Hill, which is scheduled to open in spring 2014. The company's second location in the state is part of the new Chestnut Hill Square, a shopping and dining destination located on Route 9.

Available full-time positions include everything from customer service and entry-level management positions, to culinary professionals. The Chestnut Hill store will employ approximately 550 people, approximately 450 of whom will be hired locally. Of these, at least 150 full-time positions will be filled. Part-time positions will be announced at a later date.

The Chestnut Hill Wegmans is an 82,000 square-foot supermarket that includes a second-level 11,000 square-feet wine shop. Rochester, NY-based Wegmans Food Markets, popular for its incredible customer service and restaurant-quality prepared foods, plans to open additional Massachusetts locations in the future including Burlington and Westwood. The company has also announced plans for a store in the Fenway neighborhood.
