Weekend Hours to Conclude at Pennsylvania DEP's Wilkes-Barre, Norristown Offices
HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As flood recovery continues and the number of affected residents visiting the Department of Environmental Protection's regional offices on weekends declines, the Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, and Norristown, Montgomery County, offices will be closed on the weekend.
Residents who need water test kits or wish to drop them off for sampling are still encouraged to visit the regional offices during regular weekday business hours as well as the Disaster Recovery Centers set up in various counties throughout the flood-affected regions.
DEP offices in Williamsport, Lycoming County, and Harrisburg, Dauphin County, will remain open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. until demand for services has ceased.
Those offices are located at 208 W. 3rd St., Suite 101, Williamsport, and 909 Elmerton Ave., Harrisburg.
