Wedge Networks Signs Ingram Micro as U.S. Distributor

This agreement expands the reach of the WedgeOS platform and products to include all 50 states, D.C., U.S. territories & possessions, as well as military bases and U.S. embassies abroad. Ingram Micro offers a broad array of solutions and services to more than 170,000 resellers by distributing and marketing hundreds of thousands of IT products worldwide from more than 1,500 vendors. As part of its strategy, Wedge Networks has contracted the Technology Associates Marketing Company (TAMCO) team to drive activities and programs through Ingram Micro to key Value Added Resellers (VARs) and its customers.

In conjunction with this alliance, Wedge Networks has developed a new program to support the VAR channel. This new program, Instant-On, provides access to the full suite of the WedgeOS technology through VMware. VARs will have access to 45 days of fully functioning security layers, including Data Loss Prevention, Anti-Virus, Spam, Malware and content filtering, running either as a perimeter security gateway or delivering security from the Cloud as a Wedge StarGate Server. This program will provide VARs and their customers with an opportunity to test and evaluate existing network security platforms without installing a physical appliance.
