WECC Secures Contract With Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services
- Minnesota utility selects WECC to implement residential lighting program -
MADISON, Wis., July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- WECC, a national leader in the design and implementation of energy efficiency and financing programs, was selected to execute a residential lighting program for Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services. Launched on June 1, the program—branded "Be Bright"—provides instant rebates toward the purchase of high-efficiency ENERGY STAR® CFL and LED light bulbs at select retail stores throughout Freeborn and Mower Counties.
Three Albert Lea retailers currently participate in the program: Walmart (1550 Blake Ave.), Home Depot (2400 Consul St.), and Ace Hardware (2525 Bridge Ave.). Cooperative members can visit fmcs.coop for eligible products and rebate amounts.
Founded in 1936, Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services is a member-owned electric provider based in Southeast Minnesota. The Cooperative serves more than 18,000 members primarily located in Freeborn and Mower Counties.
