Webroot Expands Technology Leadership With Two Executive Appointments
Michael Malloy Appointed to New Role of Executive Vice President of Products and Strategy; Gerry Coady Joins as Chief Information Officer
BOULDER, Colo., Jan. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Webroot, the first Internet security service company, today announced two new executive leadership positions created to lead the company's cloud technology development and adoption efforts. Michael Malloy has joined as executive vice president of products and strategy, and Gerry Coady has joined as chief information officer.

Malloy brings to Webroot more than 30 years of leadership experience with technology and financial services firms. Malloy is charged with providing strategic and tactical direction to Webroot's product and business organizations in order to consistently deliver the highest-quality security services. Malloy joined Webroot from New Relic, where as vice president of marketing and sales he was responsible for a tenfold increase in the company's customer base in a two-year period. Malloy previously held executive management roles for several leading companies including Wily Technology (now part of CA), where as chief marketing officer and senior vice president of product development he launched 35 new products and six major revisions of the company's flagship product. Malloy received a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Louis University.
Coady has more than 25 years of experience in information technology (IT) and software product development. As Webroot's chief information officer, Coady will provide vision and leadership for planning, developing and implementing information technology initiatives for all aspects of the company's business operations. Coady was most recently senior vice president and chief information officer at Republic Airways/Frontier Airlines, where he drove business process improvements based on measures for cost-effectiveness, service quality, and technological advancement. Coady previously held IT leadership positions at global technology companies including IBM Global Services, Digital Equipment Corporation and J.D. Edwards (now part of Oracle). Coady received a Master of Science in management and administration from Boston University and completed studies for a PhD in Management (completed all but Dissertation) from Colorado Technical University.
