ORLANDO, Fla., June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AUTOMATION NATION -- Webroot, the market leader in cloud-based, real-time threat detection, today announced expanded integration within LabTech Software's leading remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform and new integration within ConnectWise's Professional Services Automation (PSA) software. Webroot also introduced the Webroot SecureAnywhere® Global Site Manager, an advanced cloud-based management console that provides managed service providers (MSPs) the ability to cost-effectively manage multiple customers. These announcements mark the latest in Webroot's expansion efforts within the MSP segment.
Businesses with a heavy reliance on information technology, but limited staff and expertise, are increasingly looking to MSPs to manage their IT operations—including security. This outsourced model of IT management, combined with the increase in global internet security threats, requires an endpoint security solution that can be delivered as a service. In Webroot, MSPs find a partner that delivers a highly effective weapon against viruses and malware in an easily-deployable solution that is also simple to manage remotely, lowers overhead costs, and enables MSPs to provide security more profitably.
"As the threat landscape becomes more complex, MSPs are turning to Webroot for a scalable, easy-to-manage security solution that helps reduce costs and improve productivity," said Charlie Tomeo, vice president of managed service provider channel at Webroot. "By expanding our integration within LabTech Software's RMM platform and ConnectWise's PSA solutions, Webroot is further enabling MSPs to more easily deliver cloud-based protection that is highly effective and easy to deploy and manage, making it an ideal solution to meet the unique needs of MSP partners."
Channel Partnerships Accelerate Expansion
The expanded Webroot® and LabTech integration enables LabTech partners of any size to integrate with Webroot, and the deployment is seamless, regardless of server requirements. With a single point of interaction—the LabTech Control Center—administrators can easily monitor protection statuses, threat counts, check-in times and program versions for the latest data. On premise and LabTech Cloud compatible, this integration supports the standard Webroot management console and the new SecureAnywhere™ Global Site Manager. This enables Webroot's growing network of managed service providers (MSPs) to deliver endpoint security services more easily and efficiently.
"The latest release of Webroot's integration into the LabTech platform further demonstrates their commitment to the IT service provider community," said Jason Magee, vice president of Worldwide Channels and Alliances at LabTech Software. "Their work in designing an improved graphical user interface (GUI) built around LabTech best practices will help LabTech partners to create efficiencies. Webroot is a true innovator and LabTech partners will greatly benefit from the new Global Site Manager Console. We are very excited to offer the newest integration to our LabTech partners."
Webroot also announced its initial integration with ConnectWise Professional Services Automation (PSA) software, which allows MSPs to streamline the creation, routing and reporting of tickets. Alerts generated from the Global Site Manager, and processed through ConnectWise's Email Connector Module, will be quickly routed to the correct company or support group at any sign of infection or install error. This process and the resulting workflow improvement will enable MSPs to easily manipulate tickets within the ConnectWise system.
New Security Management Platform Introduced
The Webroot SecureAnywhere® Global Site Manager is an advanced cloud-based management console for use with SecureAnywhere™ Business – Endpoint Protection. This new management tool was developed as a no-cost alternative to the standard Webroot console, enabling providers to administer complex, multi-customer SecureAnywhere deployments in a more straightforward and manageable fashion. Global Site Manager is also highly scalable, allowing hundreds of customers and thousands of endpoints to be managed via a single console and yet enables MSPs to quickly identify security incidents that may be impacting one or more of their customers.
Significant Market Momentum
Webroot achieved 246 percent year-over-year channel segment growth to date in calendar 2014, driven by MSP partners that are rapidly adopting Webroot SecureAnywhere® Business – Endpoint Protection and Webroot SecureAnywhere® Business – Mobile Protection to protect their clients and provide remote security management and administration. MSPs such as Marathon Consulting, Symmetric Engineering Group, The Infinite Group, and Vantage Point Solutions adopted Webroot SecureAnywhere protection based on their superior security and manageability.
