Weber Shandwick Launches GoLive
- New Service Centers on Real-Time Video Production; Amplified via Social Media and Strategic Content Distribution -
NEW YORK, June 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Weber Shandwick has announced the launch of GoLive, a creative service offering that incorporates live storytelling, broadcast quality-production and social distribution that gets client content in front of the right audiences at the right time. GoLive is incorporated into Mediaco, Weber Shandwick's recently launched practice that delivers a comprehensive approach to brand publishing.
The addition of GoLive provides a new way for brands to create compelling content to extend news distribution, corporate communications and brand campaigns through live, original storytelling. GoLive includes production of digital broadcast segments, news conferences, investor meetings and global employee events. It is lead by Ian Cohen, Emmy® award-winning producer, formerly of the Rachel Ray and Martha Stewart TV shows and George F. Snell III, a former journalist and senior lead in the firm's Digital practice. More on GoLive and program examples can be found here.
"Given how pervasively media behaviors are rooted in the here and now, content must be made for real-time engagement," said Chris Perry, president of Digital at Weber Shandwick. "GoLive allows us to develop live, original content that not only sparks awareness, but gets people excited and inspired to share it."
Weber Shandwick has staged GoLive video events for clients including Verizon Wireless, Ocean Spray, RadioShack, Concur and Life is good. Events incorporate the firm's growing team of video producers, writers, editors and syndication experts who develop and share content with targeted customers, media, influencers, investors and employees. GoLive can be integrated into existing digital and social media programs or can be a standalone event.
