On Friday, July 15th, CMS will announce the regions of the country eligible to participate in the new Comprehensive Primary Care Plus Advanced Payment Model. Track Two of the model tests a revolutionary new method of payment for primary care physicians that rewards patient-centered care while Track One is a more traditional Fee-For-Service payment model.
Track One pays eligible practices generous Care Management Fees and incentive payments in addition to Fee-For-Service. Track Two of the model utilizes a new Comprehensive Primary Care Payment (CPCP) component that prepays Evaluation and Management services for primary care practices.
This webinar will differentiate between Fee-For-Service, the Comprehensive Primary Care Payment, capitation and downside risk. Practices will be able to better understand how this new payment model works and whether they should apply for Track One without the CPCP component, or Track Two with the CPCP. Ms. Barr will model different scenarios and provide a financial calculator to help practices assess the best model for them.
The webinar will take place Monday, July 18 at 12 noon PT/2pm CT/3pm ET. Log in to www.readytalk.com and enter participant code 5004771. An audio-only option is available by dialing (303) 248-0285 and entering 5004771. Please use your computer for audio instead of a phone, if at all possible, to allow more practices to attend the webinar and ask questions of the presenter. If you are not able to join the webinar at the designated time, a recording will be available.
