WebAssign Launches New Placement Testing Product

RALEIGH, N.C., July 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- WebAssign, a leading provider of digital instructional solutions for faculty and students, today announced the launch of its new product, PlaceU. Filling a recognized gap in the market, PlaceU offers institutions a placement test solution based on their own placement test content or provides a variety of proven tests from such renowned universities as Texas A&M and Purdue.

The company developed a separate product from its flagship online assessment tool, also named WebAssign, in order to focus specifically on the features that students and instructors need for test taking. The platform gives administrators the ability to control test settings such as time limits and retake policies, and offers students an intuitive test-taking experience. PlaceU is currently being piloted at several universities and will be available for large-scale adoption this fall.
