MADISON, Wis., Aug. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- WealthCounsel, a nationwide collaborative organization for attorneys and wealth planning professionals, announced the second of its 2012 semiannual updates to the WealthDocx® estate planning software system. "Our goal for the semiannual WealthDocx updates is to provide our members with consistently improving tools that allow them to Practice Excellence," said Editor-in-Chief Jason E. Havens, JD, LLM. "A substantial portion of the improvements in the Summer 2012 Enhancement were driven by suggestions from WealthCounsel members which truly demonstrates the power of collective intelligence," Havens said.
Havens noted that in addition to improvements to WealthCounsel's flagship document, the Revocable Living Trust, the Summer Enhancement includes revisions to the Business Succession Buy-Sell Agreement to accommodate businesses organized as LLCs; additions to the LLC Operating Agreement incorporating "life-cycle" buy-sell provisions; improved document assemblies to accommodate the sale to a "Defective Grantor Trust" for clients; options to take advantage of Treasury Regulations governing Charitable Lead Annuity Trusts; revisions to the Irrevocable Trust assemblies to add a Certificate of Trust; and revisions to the Irrevocable Trust assemblies to establish a priority for withdrawal rights for tiered Crummey withdrawal powers.
What sets the WealthDocx drafting system apart from other legal drafting software is the contribution of the collaborative insight and input of the thousands of estate planning attorneys in all 50 states who use the system on a daily basis. Another distinguishing characteristic is the fact that all documents are drafted in crisp, understandable, first-person, active-voice, plain English that makes them easy to read by clients and by other professionals.
