WealthCounsel® Announces the Appointment of Jason E. Havens, J.D., LL.M. as Vice President, General Counsel, and Editor-in-Chief
MADISON, Wis., April 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- WealthCounsel® announced today the appointment of Jason E. Havens, J.D., LL.M. to Vice President, General Counsel, and Editor-in-Chief. In the newly created role, Havens will oversee the development and continuous improvement of all editorial content published by The WealthCounsel Companies through its education and various software offerings.
Havens's position was created in part to demonstrate WealthCounsel's commitment to maintaining WealthDocx® as the nation's most robust drafting software for estate planning attorneys. In addition, Havens's position will spotlight the increased demand in the marketplace for expanding WealthCounsel's innovative expertise in publishing legal software content and related drafting-based education curricula.

He is board certified in both states where he is admitted: as a Board Certified Specialist in Wills, Trusts, and Estates Law (Florida) and as an Estate Planning Law Specialist (Tennessee). He currently serves as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing justice through rigorous research on the law and its impact on our society.
In 2007 Havens was profiled in Probate & Property magazine due to his leadership within the ABA's Section of Real Property, Trust & Estate Law.
