We Energies Works With Customers to 'Stay Connected'
Wisconsin moratorium on shut-offs ends April 15
MILWAUKEE, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- As Wisconsin's winter energy shut-off moratorium draws to a close, We Energies is again launching its Stay Connected campaign. The campaign actively contacts customers who are behind on their energy bills by way of phone calls, bill inserts and bill messages to help customers understand payment options and to work with them to prevent disconnection.
We Energies will begin disconnecting service to Wisconsin residential customers who are significantly in arrears on April 16. Customers who are experiencing problems paying their bills are encouraged to contact the company as soon as possible.
"Our goal is to work with all customers so they can maintain their service year-round," said Joan Shafer, vice president of Customer Services for We Energies. "If customers are struggling to stay connected, they should not hesitate to contact us today," she added.
We Energies continues to work with customers to help keep service connected by offering our minimum payment option and flexible payment plans. Energy Assistance funds are still available to help customers. A greater number of households also qualify under newly expanded income guidelines.
Customers can select their payment option and learn about energy assistance by contacting We Energies at 800-842-4565 and using our automated system or by talking to a We Energies customer service representative. Customers also can visit the We Energies Residential section online to learn more about and to use online payment options at www.we-energies.com.
