We Energies again named 'Best in Midwest' for keeping the lights on

MILWAUKEE, Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- For the sixth year in a row, We Energies has received the ReliabilityOne™ Award in the Midwest for the superior reliability of its electric system. This also marks the ninth time in the past 11 years that the company has been recognized as the most reliable utility in the region.

The award, which is based on performance for the year 2015, is presented annually by PA Consulting Group to utilities that have achieved outstanding reliability performance and have excelled in delivering the most reliable electric service to their customers.

PA Consulting also honored We Energies with an award for Outstanding Customer Reliability Experience. This award is presented to a ReliabilityOne™ recipient who has recognized that the communication of real-time and accurate information is a key driver to a positive customer reliability experience and has taken steps to engage with their customers by providing real-time access to information across various channels.

All utilities operating electric delivery networks in North America are eligible for the ReliabilityOne™ Award. The six regional awards are the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Plains, West and Southeast. Awards are based primarily on system reliability statistics that measure the frequency and duration of customer outages. After provisional recipients are selected, each company undergoes an extensive on-site certification – an independent review of the processes and systems used to collect, analyze and report a company's reliability results.
