We Are All Human's "Hispanic Leadership Summit: Chicago" Set for April 26th; Leaders will Convene to Advance the Priorities of U.S. Hispanics

CHICAGO, April 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Local, regional and national Hispanic community leaders from a diverse range of industries and sectors will be convening on Friday, April 26 for Hispanic Leadership Summit: Chicago, the first in a series of regional summits to be hosted this year by the non-profit We Are All Human. The regional summits aim to further identify strategies and actions for advancing the priorities of the U.S. Hispanic community.

Hispanic Leadership Summit: Chicago builds on progress achieved at We Are All Human's first annual Hispanic Leadership Summit, which took place last December at the United Nations. At this inaugural event, more than 250 leaders of the community voted on a "Vision 2020" for the U.S. Hispanic community that focused on three top priorities: access to education, financial empowerment, and improving the image of Latinos and Hispanics. The Chicago event will dive deeper into Hispanic-community-wide priorities, inviting debate and discussion around what specific actions should be taken to ensure meaningful progress is made towards the "Vision 2020", particularly in advance of next year's presidential elections. In 2017, Hispanics became Chicago's largest minority community, representing nearly a third of the city's total population.

The Chicago summit takes place at Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, from noon to 5p.m. CST, with registration opening at 11a.m. CST. The event occurs in conjunction with the 37^th annual National Leadership Career Summit & Awards Gala being held April 25-26 at the Radisson by the national nonprofit Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE).
