WDIV-TV Names Jamie Kaye Walters Director of Creative Services and Programming
DETROIT, Jan. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jamie Kaye Walters has been named Creative Services and Programming Director for WDIV-TV/Local 4. In this newly created role, she will oversee the branding, community engagement and programming initiatives of the station.
Walters began her television career at WDIV, having worked from 1998-2007 for the station as a producer in both the programming and promotion departments. During her tenure, she produced high profile entertainment and political programs such as America's Thanksgiving Parade, Target Fireworks, Flashpoint, Detroit 300: Rockin' on the River, Gimme the Mike Detroit and several political and community service initiatives.

Prior to rejoining WDIV-TV, Walters was the co-founder and executive producer of Velocity Cow, a creative production agency located in Detroit. Velocity Cow produces television commercials, marketing videos and long form programming for a wide variety of clients ranging from the Detroit Institute of Arts to the MGM Grand Casino.
Walters earned a B.A. in American Culture from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1995. She lives in the Corktown neighborhood of Detroit and is a member of many Detroit community and civic organizations including the Detroit Artist Market, InsideOut Literary Arts Project, and Publius a web based resource for Michigan voters.
