NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- WCG, a global communications company offering integrated communications, creative and interactive services, today announced the appointment of Gail Cohen as global managing director to oversee the company's expanding international business. In her new role, she will work closely with leadership to build and lead a cohesive global communications practice across all geographies. Cohen starts Feb. 1 reporting to WCG President and COO Diane Weiser.

Cohen joins WCG most recently from Burson-Marsteller, where she served as chair of its global healthcare practice. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Cohen has pioneered some of the industry's most successful pharmaceutical campaigns and has led numerous award-winning integrated programs.
Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Cohen served on the Leadership Council for Chandler Chicco Companies (CCC). Reporting to the principals, she was responsible for driving new business initiatives, overseeing the agency's affiliate relationships with Asia-Pacific and the Americas, and assisting in creating unique branding platforms.
Throughout her career, Cohen has counseled clients through high-profile product recalls, regulatory issues and corporate and legal challenges. She has led successful public relations programs for Fortune 500 companies and has managed global communications campaigns for large clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Oxford Health Plans, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Novartis. Prior to joining CCC, Cohen worked in boutique agencies focusing on consumer communications across a broad array of luxury goods, beauty products and celebrity clients including Donald Trump, Elizabeth Taylor and Karl Lagerfeld.
