WCFA Executive Board 2016 Launches New Initiatives and Projects

Secretariat of the World Communication Forum Association (WCFA)
On 10 March, 2016, at the Davos Congress Centre, right after the 7th annual World Communication Forum, was held the First Annual Assembly of the World Communication Forum Association, a young non-profit organization registered in 2014 in the city of Davos, Switzerland, with the purpose of creating a solid professional network for active support and contribution in favour of a successful future development of today's global communications.

The Assembly unanimously agreed to update the WCFA structure and launch its work in different professional initiatives, such as: Barnding, Design, Corporate Communications, CSR, and others, steered by Vice Presidents who are appointed by the WCFA Executive Board. Another direction of development: the active work of Country Ambassadors, also appointed by the Executive Board.
The 9 members of Board 2015 were unanimously re-elected and several new experts were elected, some of whom also appointed as VPs and Ambassadors. The Executive Board for 2016 comprises of:
- Yanina Dubeykovskaya, co-founder and elected President (2nd year of the mandate)
- Dymitr Romanovski, co-founder
- Ekaterina Lavrova, co-founder and appointed VP of Branding and Design
- Flavio Oliveira, appointed Ambassador in Brazil
- Irina Zolotarevych, co-founder
- Lorena Carreño Díaz, co-founder
- Lorenzo Brufani , appointed VP of Crisis Communications
- Maxim Behar, co-founder
- Olga Bereslavskaya, co-founder
- Saurabh Kumar Uboweja, co-founder and appointed VP of Branding Strategies
- Sergey Zverev, co-founder
- Yogesh Joshi, co-founder
Some applications for VPs and Ambassadors will be discussed for approval during the next scheduled online meeting of the Board and will be duly announced online on the official WCFA web-page.
The WCFA will again support the WCR external project and launches Three New Projects for 2016:
World Communication Review (WCR) - in 2016, the WCFA will again support this important annual external project launched last year. WCFA has started the preparation of an expedition for communication professionals who will attempt to mount the peak of Everest. Motto: Brave communicators focused on the mission to make the world more connected and open can face any challenges!

Planned as an intensive 5-day course for new-generation communication professionals in the summer of 2016: leading global experts and scholars with innovative approach will arm the attendees - young specialists or students in public relations and communication - with practical know-how, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the global market.
Online Master Classes - by Leaders in Global Communications
The activity will be launched together with the new website of the association, expected to be released publicly on the Internet within a couple of months.
The WCFA's Assembly agreed the membership fee will remain 250 CHF for individuals and 450 CHF for organizations, used as a primary source for the WCFA budget, alongside with: donations, income from internal projects, and 10% revenue from all external projects supported by the association. Tree of the latest 7 newly-accepted members of the WCFA received their certificates in person.
