WBU Starts Fall Semester with New Online Master's Degree Program in Nursing
Wayland Baptist University introduces new online program for master's degree in nursing
PLAINVIEW, Texas, Aug. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Wayland Baptist University introduces students to their new online Nursing Master's Degree program. Beginning in the fall term of 2011 the School of Nursing at Wayland Baptist University will launch its Master of Science in Nursing exclusive online degree program.
The exclusive opportunity allows students to focus on a higher level of education in nursing. Although a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is still the most common, a Master's Degree can open doors for those who want to pursue higher level professional careers in nursing, such as a practitioner or clinical specialist.
The online degree programs from WBU not only offer convenience, but flexibility for those students who work full time. The programs do not have a required sequence in which classes must be taken, thus students can enter the program at any time. All classes are provided online and four different 11-week terms are offered each year through Wayland Baptist University, making it easier to complete the course within 18 months.
Started by Dr. Diane Frazor, the online Nursing Master's Degree program was researched and designed according to what would benefit nursing students most. Wayland's undergraduate nursing degree is already accredited by the National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission and Frazor is confident their Master's program will follow.
Wayland Baptist University has made a name for themselves as one of the best online Christian colleges in the nation by making their programs accessible for the working individual and those in the military. They were among the first institutions in the nation that designed programs for those in the United States armed forces. By creating the military education online program they've allowed students to take their leadership abilities into the professional workforce.
In order to apply to the online Nursing Master's Degree program, students must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution and provide transcripts.
