WBENC President & CEO Pamela Prince-Eason Named To National Women's Business Council
WASHINGTON, Oct. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pamela Prince-Eason, President and CEO of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) has been named to the National Women's Business Council (NWBC), a Congressionally-appointed role. The NWBC is a non-partisan Federal advisory organization that provides independent council to the White House, Congress and the Small Business Administration on economic issues of importance to women business owners.

The NWBC is the government's only independent voice for women entrepreneurs. Members are prominent women business owners and leaders of women's business organizations. NWBC is composed of 15 members who are appointed to three-year terms.
WBENC is among the six representatives of national women's business organizations on the Council, including Association of Women's Business Centers; Astia; National Association for Women Business Owners (NAWBO); Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), and Women Presidents' Organization (WPO).
WBENC is a national leader driving women's business growth. It brings together over 300 Corporate and Government Members with more than 12,000 WBENC-Certified WBEs to generate business together and fuel the economy. In conjunction with its 14 Regional Partner Organizations (RPOs) spanning the country, it delivers thought leadership forums, business development workshops, MatchMaker meetings, executive education and robust business networking.
Prince-Eason's dedication to women's business leadership is illustrated in her many professional and personal roles advancing women's excellence and opportunity. She assumed the position of WBENC President and CEO in 2011 after holding the position of Vice President of Worldwide Procurement for Pfizer Inc., during which time she also served as Chair of the WBENC Board of Directors.
She serves on the advisory committees of several corporations, including the Ernst & Young Winning Women program, the Dell Women's Entrepreneur Network, Walmart's Women Owned Business Advisory Council, Shell Diversity & Inclusion Collaboration Partners, MGM Resorts International Diversity Advisory Board, as well as the Coca-Cola Company's 5by20 initiative.
Additionally, she has been a strong supporter of the Institute of Supply Management (ISM), the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) and the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). She serves as a member of the U.S. Department of State's International Council on Women's Business Leadership (ICWBL) Subcommittee on Access to Markets.
In addition to Prince-Eason, NWBC named Anne D. Shybunko-Moore, President and Owner of GSE Dynamics Inc. and Rosana Privitera Biondo, a founding employee of Mark One Electric Co., Inc., to the Council.
