WAYNE Green Sump Pump Featured in HANDY Magazine Receives 95% Approval Rating from Handyman Club of America

HARRISON, Ohio, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- A new energy-saving sump pump from WAYNE Pumps is being featured in the August/September 2010 issue of HANDY Magazine, the official magazine of The Handyman Club of America (HCOA) for receiving a 95% approval rating from its members.

For the test, HCOA officials selected 20 members who had to be pre-qualified and able to swap out an old sump pump for the new WAYNE model. The members gave the WAYNE sump pump a 9.4 overall rating out of a possible ten.  The test scores were based on ten criteria with each rated on a scale of one to ten.  Three of the scores were perfect tens for quality, performance and durability.  "We had heavy rains right after I installed the sump pump and it worked flawlessly," said member Robert Jackson of Oak Creek, WI. "It's very reliable which is what you want in a sump pump."  Other criteria included design, ease of installation, effectiveness and convenience.  "The WAYNE Pump installed in about ten minutes and pumps water very fast," said member Larry Lowe of Mansfield, SD.

Members also gave high marks to the company's new iSwitch technology.  Most pump problems occur when the switch fails or gets hung up in the sump pit.  The iSwitch uses a microprocessor to detect the presence of water with no moving parts to corrode or wear out and it lasts five times longer than traditional mechanical switches.
